Number wheel from 1 to N
Press “Spin the wheel”.

Session history
No spins yet.
Choose how high to go, fill the wheel from 1 to N and spin it: it stops on a randomly drawn number. Ideal when every participant already has a number and you want people to see the draw rather than just hear it announced.
How to use it
- Enter N in the “Fill from 1 to” field, for example 30, then press “Fill”.
- Edit the list if needed: delete numbers that have already been drawn or add others, one per line.
- Tick “Remove the winner after each spin” so each number only comes up once.
- Spin the wheel: the drawn number appears in large type below it.
Ways to use it
-
Draw a raffle ticket number
At a school fair or club event, fill the wheel with as many numbers as tickets handed out and draw them one by one on full screen.
-
Pick an exercise
Fill the wheel up to the number of exercises in the chapter: students find out which one they’ll solve at the board.
-
Assign tables at an event
Each guest spins for a table number on arrival, with number removal on, to mix the groups.
-
Replace a die
Missing your d20? Fill the wheel from 1 to 20 and carry on with your tabletop role-playing session.
How the randomness is guaranteed
The number is drawn by the browser’s cryptographic generator (crypto.getRandomValues). On a wheel from 1 to 50, each number has exactly a one-in-50 chance.
The calculation throws away values that would give the lower numbers a slight edge (modulo bias): no number is favored, whatever N is.
The result is fixed before the animation starts, then the wheel stops on it. Everything happens in your browser, with no exchange with a server.
Frequently asked questions
How high can the wheel go?
Up to 200, the wheel’s entry limit. For a random number in a larger range, such as 1 to 10,000, use the random number generator.
Can I start somewhere other than 1?
The field always fills from 1, but the list stays editable: delete the first lines or type the numbers you want yourself, one per line.
How do I stop a number coming up twice?
Tick “Remove the winner after each spin”. The drawn number is taken off the wheel, and the session history keeps the list of numbers already drawn.
How is this different from the random number generator?
The wheel shows the draw with an animation, which works well in front of an audience. The generator gives you one or more numbers directly, with any limits you like, including negative ones.
Are the numbers readable on a big wheel?
Up to 40 slices, every number is shown on the wheel. Beyond that they get smaller, but the drawn number is always shown in large type below the wheel.
